Happy New Year

Some more party tunes to help ring in the New Year.

Let's "Get It Started " with Black Eyed Peas.

Here's an old tune that gets people moving, Will Smith with " Gettin' Jiggy Wit' It "

Gotta have this old standby, Commodores with " Brick House "

Tom Jones and Art of Noise with a cover of Prince's " Kiss "

Finally this is Pitbull with " Hotel Room Service "

Pary til it's 2012

Yes folks, it's the end of another year. A New Year brings hope of new beginnings which means its a great time to celebrate. And what better way to celebrate than with some righteous party tunes. Let's get the ball rolling with
The S.O.S. Band and " Just The Way You Like It "

We need a little more Bass I think . Let's go over to Graham Central Station featuring Larry Graham with " We've Been Waitin' "

For you old time Rockers, here is Canned Heat with a lil tail wagging music, " Let's Work Together "

Even Laurel and Hardy are in the party mood, dancing to The Gap Band's " Party Train "

Here's LMFAO with " Sexy And You Know It "

Rock-N-Roll Diva's

First of all....THIS is as "Mainstream" as we get.... But the Doc and I agree that these are our favorite contemporary Diva's

Never been a real fan. But Cher? She's always had a different, strong voice. As she got older it just got better. I just think she had a lot of guts to make this song where her voice is altered. It isn't altered because this lady can't  sing anymore, it was done to make the song what it is.. and I think it's HOT!
Here is Cher ~ "Do You Believe In Life After Love"

Madonna... This is another woman that has come a long way... We saw her start out... She has said that she isn't a singer. She considers herself to be a dancer and performer. I've loved watching where she went from there! She has been left out and overlooked as far as awards went... not fair...
Madonna ~ Die Another Day

Tina Turner... Yeah probably should have put her first. We both have rolled down the river loving this Diva. She ROCKS, here is Tina Turner~ Be Good To Me

This is a Diva that may not have been chosen by others, but she has OUR vote... with  punk band roots, here comes a beautiful Australian woman, with a most amazing throaty voice. Chrissy Amphlette.
Featured with IceHouse ~ "Love In Motion"

IF YOU'RE GONNA SAY SOMETHING.... MEAN IT.............................

Stevie Nicks ~ "Edge Of Seventeen" ... he was no more than a baby then.....

Ann Wilson... The lead vocalist for Heart, also played the flute in the early years... as her sister Nancy played guitar and did vocals too... but I tell ya... Ann... can... sing... !!! This is A LIVE cut that rock's it!
Here they are doing a Zepplin cover... Heart ~ "Immigrant Song"

There can't be a Divas playlist without the Divine Miss M, Bette Midler. Here she is performing " When A Man Loves A Woman "

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas. We're in the mood for some good tunes after all those Carols LOL.

Starting us off is Talk Talk with " Live's What You Make It. Great tune from the 80's that doesn't get any airplay anymore.

Up next is The Bevis Frond with " Solar Marmalade ". Great Prog Rock band that isn't well known this side of the Atlantic.

This next one is a rather new discovery for me... The group is called Dream Theater ~ Trial of Tears ... this is a great track with a guitar solo that'll knock your socks off...

This is my favorite Psychobilly bands, Reverend Horton Heat. Here they are singing about two of my hobbies, " Drinking And Smoking Cigarettes "

Merry Christmas!

Here are some tunes for Christmas Day...

The old standards are fine... but here are some others you may not have heard...

We hope they lift your spirits...

Merry Christmas!
Doc and Krazy Bird

First up is Black Label Society ~ "The First Noel"  This is really sweet... such great guitar work. Enjoy!

Oh we have to have a little bit of Joe Satrini and his fabulous style! Here is a "Heavy Metal Christmas"
(I believe the title is wrong and will research it, however at this point I'm just too busy digging the tune!)

This one? Ohhh, I think of Charlie Brown and Snoopy but not so much since this tune is so fresh... It's more Cartman and what the heck is the dog's name on Family Guy?

Here's the fantastic Steve Vai ~ "Christmas Time Is Here"

The definitive version of Jingle Bell Rock by one of our favorite bands, Dr. Teeth and Electric Mayhem.

Not quite Christmas Tunes Part III

West Coast Disc Jockey Bob Rivers recorded a few Twisted Christmas tunes and they are pretty funny. Here is "Be Claus I Got High "

Gotta have Miss Brenda Lee with " Rockin' Round The Christmas Tree "

I'm sure all of us have felt this way at one time or another . Bobby Joe Thorazine with " Merry Christmas all You Assholes "

From Portugal, my friends the Lucky Duckies, with Winter Wonderland.

Not quite Christmas Tunes Part II

Okay so here we go... here are some of my fav Christmas Tunes!

You won't hear the old standards here, because quite simply, I cannot take it.

After 20+ years of listening to canned x-mas music for sometimes 14 hours straight at work in the retail industry, I just cannot do it anymore.. I was over it long ago.. so what you have here are the tunes that I played at home with my family.

This is Mannheim Steamroller... being a fusion jazz lover, this is my cuppa tea and has been for many years... my kids will remember decorating our tree to this tune.

Next up is the Claymations... They are such a professional group. Love those guys...

This next one brings together a symphony with a country twist... who can resist the pretty vocalists? This is " Carol Of The Bells " by Lyelee

Next up has to be... Beaker... you know Beeker ? Meep Meep Meep !
