First of all....THIS is as "Mainstream" as we get.... But the Doc and I agree that these are our favorite contemporary Diva's
Never been a real fan. But Cher? She's always had a different, strong voice. As she got older it just got better. I just think she had a lot of guts to make this song where her voice is altered. It isn't altered because this lady can't sing anymore, it was done to make the song what it is.. and I think it's HOT!
Here is Cher ~ "Do You Believe In Life After Love"
Madonna... This is another woman that has come a long way... We saw her start out... She has said that she isn't a singer. She considers herself to be a dancer and performer. I've loved watching where she went from there! She has been left out and overlooked as far as awards went... not fair...
Madonna ~ Die Another Day
Tina Turner... Yeah probably should have put her first. We both have rolled down the river loving this Diva. She ROCKS, here is Tina Turner~ Be Good To Me
This is a Diva that may not have been chosen by others, but she has OUR vote... with punk band roots, here comes a beautiful Australian woman, with a most amazing throaty voice. Chrissy Amphlette.
Featured with IceHouse ~ "Love In Motion"
IF YOU'RE GONNA SAY SOMETHING.... MEAN IT.............................
Stevie Nicks ~ "Edge Of Seventeen" ... he was no more than a baby then.....
Ann Wilson... The lead vocalist for Heart, also played the flute in the early years... as her sister Nancy played guitar and did vocals too... but I tell ya... Ann... can... sing... !!! This is A LIVE cut that rock's it!
Here they are doing a Zepplin cover... Heart ~ "Immigrant Song"
There can't be a Divas playlist without the Divine Miss M, Bette Midler. Here she is performing " When A Man Loves A Woman "
